# Major Cineplex vs BoomerangTH

The clearest difference is ads: BoomerangTH at none against Major Cineplex's shown. BoomerangTH also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Major Cineplex's advantage is rating (3.5 vs 3.2) and update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Major Cineplex holds the better App Store score, 3.5 against 3.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 24 and 19 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 28% of Major Cineplex's written reviews are positive against 32% of BoomerangTH's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Major Cineplex ships an update weekly, BoomerangTH fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
