# Backgammon Live vs Backgammon

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Backgammon Live at 78% against Backgammon's 32%. Backgammon Live also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). Backgammon's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.0) and in-app purchases (none vs 3). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Backgammon Live sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Backgammon asks for nothing beyond the download.

Backgammon holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 139 and 588 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of Backgammon Live's written reviews are positive against 32% of Backgammon's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
