# Scribble vs AlienFaced

The clearest difference is rating: Scribble at 4.3 against AlienFaced's 3.8. Scribble also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 12.4). AlienFaced's advantage is review sentiment (60% vs 25%) and update cadence (every 4 months vs every 12 months). On price, ratings volume, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AlienFaced sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Scribble asks for nothing beyond the download.

Scribble holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 4 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of Scribble's written reviews are positive against 60% of AlienFaced's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Scribble ships an update every 12 months, AlienFaced every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on September 21, 2026 and September 17, 2026 respectively.
