# ScheduledDay vs Countdown

The clearest difference is ads: Countdown at none against ScheduledDay's shown. Countdown also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (3.1K vs 177). ScheduledDay's advantage is iOS requirement (14.0 vs 18.0). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ScheduledDay sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Countdown sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for ScheduledDay against 4.7 for Countdown. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Countdown has 3.1K ratings behind it against 177, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 73% of ScheduledDay's written reviews are positive against 82% of Countdown's.

ScheduledDay ships an update every 4 months, Countdown every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
