# Backgammon Masters vs Narde Tournament

The clearest difference is rating: Narde Tournament at 4.4 against Backgammon Masters's 3.8. Backgammon Masters's advantage is review sentiment (33% vs 13%) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Backgammon Masters sells 12 one-off in-app purchases and Narde Tournament sells 32 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Narde Tournament holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1.1K and 376 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Backgammon Masters's written reviews are positive against 13% of Narde Tournament's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Backgammon Masters ships an update fortnightly, Narde Tournament every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
