# Alchemy Help vs Moth Lake

The clearest difference is rating: Alchemy Help at 5.0 against Moth Lake's 4.2. Alchemy Help also leads on price ($0.99 vs $3.99) and chart position (#179 vs unranked). Moth Lake's advantage is review sentiment (72% vs 40%) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 7 months). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Alchemy Help costs $0.99 and Moth Lake $3.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Alchemy Help holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Moth Lake has 11 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of Alchemy Help's written reviews are positive against 72% of Moth Lake's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Alchemy Help ships an update every 7 months, Moth Lake every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
