# L’ancienne app du JDD vs Causeur.fr

The clearest difference is ads: Causeur.fr at none against L’ancienne app du JDD's shown. Causeur.fr also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). L’ancienne app du JDD's advantage is ratings volume (55 vs 2) and review sentiment (95% vs 79%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. L’ancienne app du JDD sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Causeur.fr sells 14 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Causeur.fr holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: L’ancienne app du JDD has 55 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 95% of L’ancienne app du JDD's written reviews are positive against 79% of Causeur.fr's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

L’ancienne app du JDD ships an update every 3 months, Causeur.fr every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
