# CHM Sharp vs DS One

The clearest difference is rating: DS One at 4.7 against CHM Sharp's 3.8. DS One also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (monthly vs every 4 months). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CHM Sharp sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and DS One sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DS One holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DS One has 78 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of CHM Sharp's written reviews are positive against 60% of DS One's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

CHM Sharp ships an update every 4 months, DS One monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
