# mTrainer Pro vs Matching Pairs

The clearest difference is price: Matching Pairs at Free against mTrainer Pro's $2.99. Matching Pairs also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 26 months) and ratings volume (926 vs 5). mTrainer Pro's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). On rating, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Matching Pairs is free to download; mTrainer Pro costs $2.99 up front. mTrainer Pro sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Matching Pairs sells 11 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for mTrainer Pro against 4.7 for Matching Pairs. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Matching Pairs has 926 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.
