# DStv Stream vs TVNow

The clearest difference is rating: DStv Stream at 4.5 against TVNow's 3.0. DStv Stream also leads on ratings volume (11K vs 2) and device support (4 vs 2). TVNow's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

DStv Stream holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DStv Stream has 11K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 35% of DStv Stream's written reviews are positive against 29% of TVNow's.
