# DStv Stream vs adesa+

The clearest difference is review sentiment: adesa+ at 100% against DStv Stream's 35%. adesa+ also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). DStv Stream's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (11K vs 8). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

DStv Stream holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DStv Stream has 11K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 35% of DStv Stream's written reviews are positive against 100% of adesa+'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

DStv Stream ships an update monthly, adesa+ every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and September 17, 2026 respectively.
