# DStv Stream vs NolliStream

The clearest difference is ads: NolliStream at none against DStv Stream's shown. NolliStream also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). DStv Stream's advantage is ratings volume (12K vs 1) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

NolliStream holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DStv Stream has 12K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

DStv Stream ships an update monthly, NolliStream fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
