# Mathway vs EduCalc Pro

The clearest difference is price: Mathway at Free against EduCalc Pro's $1.99. Mathway also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (425K vs 32). EduCalc Pro's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (82% vs 51%). On in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Mathway is free to download; EduCalc Pro costs $1.99 up front. Mathway sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and EduCalc Pro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mathway holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mathway has 425K ratings behind it against 32, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 51% of Mathway's written reviews are positive against 82% of EduCalc Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mathway ships an update every 4 weeks, EduCalc Pro every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 6, 2026 respectively.
