# Mathway vs Math Solver AI Homework Helper

The clearest difference is ads: Math Solver AI Homework Helper at none against Mathway's shown. Mathway's advantage is ratings volume (425K vs 1.3K) and rating (4.9 vs 4.6). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mathway sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Math Solver AI Homework Helper sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mathway holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mathway has 425K ratings behind it against 1.3K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Mathway's written reviews are positive against 58% of Math Solver AI Homework Helper's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mathway ships an update every 4 weeks, Math Solver AI Homework Helper fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
