# Little Reader Touch vs Monkey Stories

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Little Reader Touch at 91% against Monkey Stories's 60%. Little Reader Touch also leads on iOS requirement (7.0 vs 14.0). Monkey Stories's advantage is update cadence (every 8 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (1K vs 23). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Little Reader Touch sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Monkey Stories sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $3.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Monkey Stories holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Monkey Stories has 1K ratings behind it against 23, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 91% of Little Reader Touch's written reviews are positive against 60% of Monkey Stories's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Little Reader Touch ships an update every 2 months, Monkey Stories every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
