# Wildcaster vs Fantera

The clearest difference is update cadence: Fantera at every 4 days against Wildcaster's every 6 weeks. Fantera also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 73%) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Wildcaster's advantage is ratings volume (1.2K vs 6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wildcaster sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month and Fantera sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Fantera holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wildcaster has 1.2K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 73% of Wildcaster's written reviews are positive against 100% of Fantera's.

Wildcaster ships an update every 6 weeks, Fantera every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on September 23, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
