# Sketch vs Quick block notes

The clearest difference is rating: Quick block notes at 5.0 against Sketch's 2.8. Sketch's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 8 months). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sketch sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Quick block notes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Quick block notes holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sketch has 24 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 19% of Sketch's written reviews are positive against 22% of Quick block notes's.

Sketch ships an update every 2 months, Quick block notes every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
