# Pocket Drums Classic vs Drum Set Pro

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Drum Set Pro at none against Pocket Drums Classic's 4. Drum Set Pro also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.0 vs 3.7). Pocket Drums Classic's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 90 months) and ratings volume (29 vs 4). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pocket Drums Classic sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Drum Set Pro asks for nothing beyond the download.

Drum Set Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pocket Drums Classic has 29 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Pocket Drums Classic's written reviews are positive against 50% of Drum Set Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pocket Drums Classic ships an update every 2 months, Drum Set Pro every 90 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
