# 粤语通 vs TalkForge

The clearest difference is rating: TalkForge at 5.0 against 粤语通's 4.4. TalkForge also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). 粤语通's advantage is review sentiment (92% vs 75%) and ratings volume (28 vs 3). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 粤语通 sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and TalkForge sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TalkForge holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 粤语通 has 28 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 92% of 粤语通's written reviews are positive against 75% of TalkForge's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

粤语通 ships an update every 3 months, TalkForge every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
