# BYU vs myBYUH

The clearest difference is rating: BYU at 4.7 against myBYUH's 4.1. BYU also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (7.1K vs 11). myBYUH's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 55%) and iOS requirement (14.2 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BYU holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BYU has 7.1K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of BYU's written reviews are positive against 67% of myBYUH's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
