# BYU vs Junbi

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Junbi at 100% against BYU's 55%. Junbi also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.6). BYU's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (7.1K vs 5). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Junbi sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. BYU asks for nothing beyond the download.

Junbi holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BYU has 7.1K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 55% of BYU's written reviews are positive against 100% of Junbi's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
