# Scientific++ vs A Complex Calc

The clearest difference is price: A Complex Calc at Free against Scientific++'s $0.99. A Complex Calc also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 months) and rating (4.7 vs 4.5). A Complex Calc is free to download; Scientific++ costs $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

A Complex Calc holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 61 and 23 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 89% of Scientific++'s written reviews are positive against 80% of A Complex Calc's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
