# HD vs Comic Connect

The clearest difference is rating: HD at 5.0 against Comic Connect's 3.6. HD also leads on iOS requirement (5.1.1 vs 11.0). Comic Connect's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (10 vs 2). On price, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HD sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Comic Connect asks for nothing beyond the download.

HD holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Comic Connect has 10 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

HD ships an update every 4 months, Comic Connect every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on September 23, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
