# Math. vs A

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: A at none against Math.'s 10. A also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 13.0). Math.'s advantage is ratings volume (1.6K vs 7). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Math. sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. A asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Math. against 4.6 for A. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Math. has 1.6K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 74% of Math.'s written reviews are positive against 75% of A's.

Math. ships an update every 3 months, A every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
