# Math. vs Pre

The clearest difference is update cadence: Math. at every 3 months against Pre's every 31 months. Math. also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Math. sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Pre sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Math. ships an update every 3 months, Pre every 31 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
