# Math. vs Mathleaks

The clearest difference is rating: Math. at 4.7 against Mathleaks's 4.1. Math. also leads on review sentiment (74% vs 38%) and ratings volume (1.6K vs 148). Mathleaks's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Math. sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Mathleaks sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Math. holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Math. has 1.6K ratings behind it against 148, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 74% of Math.'s written reviews are positive against 38% of Mathleaks's.

Math. ships an update every 3 months, Mathleaks monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
