# Math. vs Algebra

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Math. at 74% against Algebra's 0%. Math. also leads on rating (4.7 vs 2.3) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 25 months). Algebra's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Math. sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Algebra sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Math. holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Math. has 1.6K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 74% of Math.'s written reviews are positive against 0% of Algebra's.

Math. ships an update every 3 months, Algebra every 25 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
