# Art Set vs Animation Creator

The clearest difference is price: Animation Creator at Free against Art Set's $2.99. Animation Creator also leads on rating (4.6 vs 3.8) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 11 months). Art Set's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 5) and ads (none vs shown). On review sentiment there is nothing between them.

Animation Creator is free to download; Art Set costs $2.99 up front. Animation Creator sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Art Set asks for nothing beyond the download.

Animation Creator holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Animation Creator has 30K ratings behind it against 79, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of Art Set's written reviews are positive against 64% of Animation Creator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
