# FieldLevel vs 40X

The clearest difference is review sentiment: 40X at 100% against FieldLevel's 71%. FieldLevel's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (2.5K vs 6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FieldLevel holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FieldLevel has 2.5K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of FieldLevel's written reviews are positive against 100% of 40X's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FieldLevel ships an update every 3 months, 40X every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
