# RTÉ Listen vs Feis

The clearest difference is rating: RTÉ Listen at 4.8 against Feis's 4.2. RTÉ Listen also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 9) and ratings volume (1K vs 169). Feis's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 4 months). On price, review sentiment, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Feis sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. RTÉ Listen asks for nothing beyond the download.

RTÉ Listen holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RTÉ Listen has 1K ratings behind it against 169, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of RTÉ Listen's written reviews are positive against 74% of Feis's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

RTÉ Listen ships an update every 4 months, Feis fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
