# AceCaster vs WBOB

The clearest difference is review sentiment: WBOB at 100% against AceCaster's 45%. WBOB also leads on rating (4.7 vs 2.1). AceCaster's advantage is update cadence (every 3 months vs every 12 months) and ratings volume (37 vs 6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

WBOB holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AceCaster has 37 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 45% of AceCaster's written reviews are positive against 100% of WBOB's.

AceCaster ships an update every 3 months, WBOB every 12 months. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
