# QuickTrain vs Chicago CTA Bus Tracker

The clearest difference is price: Chicago CTA Bus Tracker at Free against QuickTrain's $0.99. Chicago CTA Bus Tracker also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (184 vs 8). QuickTrain's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 37 months). On device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Chicago CTA Bus Tracker is free to download; QuickTrain costs $0.99 up front. QuickTrain sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Chicago CTA Bus Tracker asks for nothing beyond the download.

Chicago CTA Bus Tracker holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Chicago CTA Bus Tracker has 184 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 87% of QuickTrain's written reviews are positive against 60% of Chicago CTA Bus Tracker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

QuickTrain ships an update every 3 months, Chicago CTA Bus Tracker every 37 months. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
