# Hallmark+ vs Mohonk Hidden Histories

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Mohonk Hidden Histories at none against Hallmark+'s 8. Mohonk Hidden Histories also leads on review sentiment (25% vs 8%) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). Hallmark+'s advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 11 months) and ratings volume (12K vs 10). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hallmark+ sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Mohonk Hidden Histories asks for nothing beyond the download.

Hallmark+ holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hallmark+ has 12K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 8% of Hallmark+'s written reviews are positive against 25% of Mohonk Hidden Histories's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Hallmark+ ships an update monthly, Mohonk Hidden Histories every 11 months. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
