# 豆丁书房 vs 连城读书

The clearest difference is ads: 豆丁书房 at none against 连城读书's shown. 豆丁书房 also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 12.0). 连城读书's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 豆丁书房 sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month and 连城读书 sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

豆丁书房 holds the better App Store score, 3.5 against 3.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 10 and 22 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 66% of 豆丁书房's written reviews are positive against 69% of 连城读书's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

豆丁书房 ships an update every 3 months, 连城读书 fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
