# Encrypt.me vs VPN 365

Encrypt.me and VPN 365 both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 52% of Encrypt.me's written reviews are positive against 20% of VPN 365's. Encrypt.me also leads on ratings volume (5.8K vs 964). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Encrypt.me sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and VPN 365 sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VPN 365 holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Encrypt.me has 5.8K ratings behind it against 964, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 52% of Encrypt.me's written reviews are positive against 20% of VPN 365's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Encrypt.me ships an update every 2 months, VPN 365 every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
