# RealEngineSim vs RevHeadz Engine Sounds

The clearest difference is rating: RevHeadz Engine Sounds at 4.3 against RealEngineSim's 3.8. RevHeadz Engine Sounds also leads on ratings volume (1.4K vs 83). RealEngineSim's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RealEngineSim sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and RevHeadz Engine Sounds sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

RevHeadz Engine Sounds holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RevHeadz Engine Sounds has 1.4K ratings behind it against 83, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of RealEngineSim's written reviews are positive against 69% of RevHeadz Engine Sounds's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

RealEngineSim ships an update weekly, RevHeadz Engine Sounds every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
