# Paper vs Notes

The clearest difference is iOS requirement: Paper at 7.0 against Notes's 17.0. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Paper sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Notes sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
