# KAR vs B

The clearest difference is rating: B at 5.0 against KAR's 4.2. B also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and review sentiment (100% vs 65%). KAR's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 18 months). On price and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. KAR sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. B asks for nothing beyond the download.

B holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: KAR has 588 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 65% of KAR's written reviews are positive against 100% of B's.

KAR ships an update every 9 days, B every 18 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
