# FEMA vs Flood

The clearest difference is rating: Flood at 5.0 against FEMA's 3.7. Flood also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 69%) and update cadence (daily vs every 2 months). FEMA's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (1K vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flood sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $13.99 per year. FEMA asks for nothing beyond the download.

Flood holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FEMA has 1K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 69% of FEMA's written reviews are positive against 100% of Flood's.

FEMA ships an update every 2 months, Flood daily. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
