# Sesame Place vs Tagalog Learning

Sesame Place and Tagalog Learning both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Tagalog Learning's written reviews are positive against 32% of Sesame Place's. Tagalog Learning also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.6). Sesame Place's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). On price, rating and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tagalog Learning sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Sesame Place asks for nothing beyond the download.

Sesame Place holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sesame Place has 7.7K ratings behind it against 28, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 32% of Sesame Place's written reviews are positive against 100% of Tagalog Learning's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Sesame Place ships an update monthly, Tagalog Learning every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
