# Traxxas Link vs Wi

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Traxxas Link at none against Wi's 3. Traxxas Link also leads on ratings volume (296 vs 27) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wi sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Traxxas Link asks for nothing beyond the download.

Wi holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Traxxas Link has 296 ratings behind it against 27, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of Traxxas Link's written reviews are positive against 36% of Wi's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Traxxas Link ships an update every 6 weeks, Wi every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
