# Pubu vs Folio

The clearest difference is update cadence: Folio at every 9 days against Pubu's monthly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pubu sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Folio sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pubu ships an update monthly, Folio every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
