# My Duck Log vs BlindBuddy

The clearest difference is rating: My Duck Log at 4.6 against BlindBuddy's 4.2. My Duck Log also leads on ratings volume (192 vs 6). BlindBuddy's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 6 weeks) and review sentiment (67% vs 46%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. My Duck Log sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and BlindBuddy sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $89.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

My Duck Log holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: My Duck Log has 192 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 46% of My Duck Log's written reviews are positive against 67% of BlindBuddy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

My Duck Log ships an update every 6 weeks, BlindBuddy every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
