# My Duck Log vs HuntCA

The clearest difference is rating: My Duck Log at 4.6 against HuntCA's 3.5. My Duck Log also leads on ratings volume (159 vs 11). HuntCA's advantage is review sentiment (69% vs 46%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. My Duck Log sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and HuntCA sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

My Duck Log holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: My Duck Log has 159 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 46% of My Duck Log's written reviews are positive against 69% of HuntCA's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

My Duck Log ships an update every 6 weeks, HuntCA every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
