# Galaxy Theatres vs Tachi Palace

The clearest difference is rating: Galaxy Theatres at 4.5 against Tachi Palace's 3.8. Galaxy Theatres also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (916 vs 18). Tachi Palace's advantage is review sentiment (33% vs 8%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Galaxy Theatres holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Galaxy Theatres has 916 ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 8% of Galaxy Theatres's written reviews are positive against 33% of Tachi Palace's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
