# Alarm Clock HD vs Clock Alarm++

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Clock Alarm++ at none against Alarm Clock HD's 11. Clock Alarm++ also leads on review sentiment (44% vs 32%) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.6). Alarm Clock HD's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (104K vs 1.5K). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Alarm Clock HD sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month. Clock Alarm++ asks for nothing beyond the download.

Alarm Clock HD holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Alarm Clock HD has 104K ratings behind it against 1.5K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 32% of Alarm Clock HD's written reviews are positive against 44% of Clock Alarm++'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Alarm Clock HD ships an update fortnightly, Clock Alarm++ every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
