# Deputy vs Formitize

The clearest difference is rating: Deputy at 4.8 against Formitize's 4.0. Deputy also leads on ratings volume (5.8K vs 2) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). Formitize's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and review sentiment (73% vs 59%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Deputy sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $59.99 per month. Formitize asks for nothing beyond the download.

Deputy holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Deputy has 5.8K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 59% of Deputy's written reviews are positive against 73% of Formitize's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Deputy ships an update weekly, Formitize every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
