# Lexico Cognition vs Speech Cards Lite

The clearest difference is rating: Lexico Cognition at 4.3 against Speech Cards Lite's 1.5. Speech Cards Lite's advantage is update cadence (every 3 months vs every 9 months) and review sentiment (67% vs 55%). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lexico Cognition sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Speech Cards Lite sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Lexico Cognition holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 1.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4 and 2 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of Lexico Cognition's written reviews are positive against 67% of Speech Cards Lite's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Lexico Cognition ships an update every 9 months, Speech Cards Lite every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on September 26, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
