# Impressionism Camera vs Sketchify

The clearest difference is rating: Impressionism Camera at 4.3 against Sketchify's 3.1. Impressionism Camera also leads on ratings volume (381 vs 20). Sketchify's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (78% vs 57%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Impressionism Camera sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Sketchify sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Impressionism Camera holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Impressionism Camera has 381 ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of Impressionism Camera's written reviews are positive against 78% of Sketchify's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
