# Microsoft OneDrive vs Google Keep

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Google Keep at none against Microsoft OneDrive's 11. Google Keep also leads on review sentiment (42% vs 19%). Microsoft OneDrive's advantage is ratings volume (488K vs 29K) and chart position (#20 vs #77). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Microsoft OneDrive sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Google Keep asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Microsoft OneDrive against 4.6 for Google Keep. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Microsoft OneDrive has 488K ratings behind it against 29K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 19% of Microsoft OneDrive's written reviews are positive against 42% of Google Keep's.

Microsoft OneDrive ships an update every 11 days, Google Keep every 6 days. Both last shipped on October 16, 2026.
